A.J. Allegra, James I. Bartelle and Alex Wallace have been close friends and collaborators for over twenty years. After meeting one another as college freshmen at NYU, they studied together at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting where they, along with friend Andrew Larimer, founded the theatre company The NOLA Project in 2005. Following that, they all moved to New Orleans to grow The NOLA Project into a New Orleans arts institution. As a writer, James Bartelle has written A Kingdom of Statues, She Remembers, Alien Status, Go Elf Ya Self, and The Tempest: Reimagined for the company, in addition to collaborating with Wallace on The Spider Queen. Additionally, James is an accomplished visual artist. Writing this together was a tad too much fun
